A tankless unit is wall-mounted and compact, with a typical local life of 18 to 20 years when it gets its yearly descale. We install Rinnai and Navien because their parts are available in Boise when you need them.
The installation details matter.
Tankless needs new venting and may need a larger gas line. When that applies, the $350 to $900 added work is quoted separately, before you decide. The quoted installation includes the permit and city inspection, shutoff valve and connectors, venting check and haul-away of your old tank.
Plan for one important yearly visit.
Hard water makes maintenance non-negotiable. A yearly tankless descale is $189 and helps keep mineral buildup from narrowing the heat exchanger. We can send a reminder text when it’s due.
